After the test the coaching institute- T.I.M.E. has released its expected Cutoff for CAT 2015, which is based on various factors. According to T.I.M.E., the overall expected CAT 2015 cutoff is 85 percentile.
Cutoff refers to the minimum score or percentile which a candidate must secure to get shortlisted by the participating institute for the next rounds of the selection process. While the top B-schools will have higher range of CAT 2015 cutoffs, 90+ percentile, the mid rung B-schools’ cutoffs range from 75 to 80 percentile and that of the lower rung B-schools is around 50 percentiles.

The expected CAT 2015 Cutoff by TIME is based on factors like,
  • Number of questions
  • Difficulty level of the test
  • Number of test takers, etc
Based on these factors TIME has released its cutoff, as per which students will get admission in top B-schools. The above given factors influence the cutoff for CAT 2015, as, if the difficulty level of the test is high, the cutoff will be low, or vice versa.
CAT 2015 was a computer based test of a single day window in two sessions on Nov 29, 2015, and the result will be declared in the second week of January 2016. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT; they later have to appear in the selection process of PI-WAT/GD rounds of IIMs and other B-schools.
